I am very honored to write a letter on behalf of absolute veterans assistance inc. Growing up as a child of a Vietnam veteran, I saw some of the struggles my dad had trying to get some of the services the VA are now offering to veterans. When my dad met one of the AVA reps many years ago and started getting guidance from him on doing the proper paperwork that was required by the VA in order to receive some of the services he needed, I noticed the positive impact it had on my dad.
For many years, AVA worked closely with my dad in all dealings with the VA, including his VA disability claims, which resulted in his 100% disability rating. This helped him financially and he received the medical services he needed.
Furthermore, they helped my dad navigate the health care system so that he was able to be admitted to the VA medical facility and get the care he needed.
That’s not all. The true measure of their character came during the final month of my father’s life. When he was admitted to the Palo Alto VA medical facility ICU, the team from AVA went above and beyond any expectations of service.
For the entire month he was in the ICU, until his passing, a representative from AVA was physically present with him every single day to provide my dad and our family support during the difficult time. They offered not just logistical support, but genuine human kindness for just being there.
I strongly recommend this organization to all veterans in need of assistance.
